The Alaska Native American Indian Science and Engineering Society (ANAISES) chapter believes in the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) mission statement.  We work together to strengthen ourselves and those in our Native community. We support the vision in building a stronger Native America by helping our Naive students to succeed in their academic studies.

The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), founded in 1852, is the oldest national engineering society in the United States. ASCE was formed to enhance the quality of life through the advancement of professional knowledge and by improving the practice of civil engineering. ASCE currently has over 120,000 members, including over 15,000 student members nation wide.

The Architectural and Engineering Technology Club (AET), founded in 2004, the AET club participates in Habitat for Humanity, Student Build Competitions, fundraising activities, and philanthropic events, as well as their own building and design projects.  There is a large emphasis on architecture, engineering and construction projects, but this club is open to students of all majors.

The Geomatics Student Association (GSA) is a non-profit student association designed to represent the interests of the students in the Geomatics program.

The Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) is one of the largest and fastest growing educational and scientific multi-modal professional transportation organization in the world.

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE), founded in 1950, is a non-profit educational service organization of over 15,000 international, professional engineers and engineering student members.  SWE has an extensive network of members throughout the nation that provides programs to encourage young women to enter the field of engineering.  SWE sets out to stimulate women to achieve full potential in careers as engineers and leaders, as well as expand the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in improving the quality of life.  The Society also works to demonstrate the value of diversity.

EWB-UAA is a student organization dedicated to improving the world.    As a student chapter of Engineers Without Borders – USA, our mission is to develop and implement sustainable engineering projects in disadvantaged communities, and improve their quality of life through environmentally and economically sustainable engineering solutions.  In the process, students gain world experience in Project Management, Diplomacy, and Resource Management.

As a student you can contribute by becoming involved in the organization.  We invite you to attend the student chapters meetings and become a member.

As a professional visit the national website and learn how you can be involved. http://www.ewb-usa.org
