Job Description

Work on a variety of Civil Engineering projects with emphasis on transportation infrastructure projects in both rural and urban environments. Apply standard engineering techniques, standards and criteria. Use judgment and make minor adaptations as required for task completion. Perform or assist in performing studies, calculation and designs, and prepare reports, plans and specifications under direct supervision. Occasional travel within Alaska is required. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• P1- BSCE degree pending from an ABET University or the equivalent.

• P2 -BSCE degree and at least 1 year civil engineering experience.

• P3 -BSCE degree and at least 2 years civil engineering experience.

A valid Alaska Driver’s License is required. Must possess or soon possess Engineering in Training (EIT) certification. The following qualities and/or experience are beneficial:

• Experience using AutoCAD Land Desktop software to prepare plans • Proficiency using spreadsheet and word processing software • Experience preparing roadway plans • Prior experience in surveying or civil construction projects
